About Me...
With a range of Irish and international clients, as well as feature writing for several publications; I live to write. From writing about diverse topics such as beauty, fashion, equestrianism, travel, property, interiors, technology, trade, business, culture, opinion, cookery and interviewing some of the leading names in those arenas and more, writing is much more than just what I do; it's my passion.
A freelance writer and veteran blogger by trade, I've got over 15 years published experience behind me. I launched one of Ireland's first online women’s magazines back in 2009 (Beautycouture.ie) and had it shortlisted for the Oscars of the Irish web world - The Eir Spiders, where I went up against the state broadcaster for Best Digital Editor.
I've written for a host of print and online publications since then I've written for; Woman's Way Magazine, RSVP Magazine, Horse & Countryside Magazine, The Ultimate Maternity Guide Magazine, Everymum.ie, Ireland's Equestrian Magazine, Your Nails Magazine, The Irish Field, TheMword.ie, as well as providing corporate copywriting for a range of Irish and international SMEs such as; mojo&co, Nursingmama.ie, La Creme Boutique, Feelunique.com, MyLadyBug.ie, Dee's Vegan Wholefoods, Anesis Spa Salon & Clinic in the UK, Perfect Details, Co-Ordination Made Easy, Avail, REA Ed Dempsey, MyPetDirectory.ie, Kube Kitchens, Pierce & Hicks, McNally Furniture, Buddabag, The Fruit People, Crimson Boutique, LC2, the Irish Musical Academy, DStudiosphotography.com, Shomar, Vivitar, Ladbrokes, Thor, Powerpoint and many more.
With such a diverse portfolio of experience, I know what makes good copy and what doesn't. I offer a professional and creative copywriting service and have written everything from feature articles, to interviews, website copy, corporate literature, product descriptions, newsletters, brochures, speeches, blogs, social media plans, presentations, advertorials, quirky tag lines for ads, press releases and pretty much anything do to with the written word.
I’ve a first class honours BA degree in Journalism from GCD and a first class honours MA in Public Relations from DIT, where my thesis on Corporate Social Responsibility won the Francis Xavier Carty Award for Excellence in Research .
After becoming a mum for the first time in 2016, I launched TheMammyBlog.ie in 2017, to instant appeal. It went on to be shortlisted for the Eir Spiders for Best in Blogging and the Irish Blog Awards for Best Parenting Blog.
Continuing to write engaging, honest, witty and down-to-earth posts, the blog has garnered an engaged and loyal following across social media. The blog made it to the final stages of the Irish Blog Awards 2018 and I've has also had one of my pieces on motherhood published in a new Irish book called a Bowl of Irish Stew in 2018.
